The Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Legon, Mrs Mary Chinery-Hesse, says Africa, has failed to build human and institutional capacity to enhance national and regional integration.
This she attributes to the lack of relevant training institutions on the continent.
Speaking at a sensitization forum on “Enhancing National Capacity for Regional and Continental Integration in Africa” Mrs. Chinery-Hesse, who is also chairperson of the Centre for Regional Integration, noted that without these training institutions, efforts and pace of building regional integration on the continent will continue to be slow.
The two-day meeting is being organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in collaboration with the CRIA and the Africa Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).
