The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned the public to disregard a fraudulent recruitment letter making rounds on social media.
The fake document, which claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff, has been described by the Service as “fake and misleading.”
In a press release signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, and dated September 21, 2025, GES stated that the purported letter “did not originate from the Service” and urged the public to treat it with contempt.
“Management wishes to inform the public that no such recruitment exercise has been announced. Any official recruitment processes will be communicated through the official channels of GES and the Ministry of Education,” the statement read.
The Service further advised citizens to report individuals or groups circulating the false circular to the security agencies to help curb fraud.
