The Radio and Television Training School of the Ghana Broadcasting College has held its 17th and 15th graduation ceremony for trainees after a 6-month course in Radio and Television, with a call on the graduates to be time conscious as they set out onto the job market.

The Acting Principal of the College, Madam Joyce Anim Ayekoo, who gave the advice, explained that time is of great essence in the broadcast industry because professionals are required to gather information in a timely manner and beat deadlines.

The Deputy Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Augustus Nyamson, congratulated the team for their accomplishment and urged them to show their work in taking their place within the media ecosystem.

The Guest Speaker, Mr Mathias Owireku Boateng also encouraged the graduating students to work to improve themselves in order to be irresistible as they set out on the job market.

One of the graduates, Mrs. Hilda Afoley, who doubles as the divisional Queen mother of Asoprotsonaa under the Nungua Traditional Area said, ”there is no barrier and age limit to education”, and called on others to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the GBC to enhance their knowledge about the media.
