The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, has announced that the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has committed to providing key infrastructure projects at the Afife Senior High Technical School (ASSETS).
Mr. Agbana, who has on several occasions expressed concern about the poor state of the school, said GETFund has approved the construction of a two-storey girls’ dormitory with a courtyard, a two-storey boys’ dormitory with a courtyard, a two-storey administration and library block, and two 12-seater toilet facilities.
The MP, in a Facebook post on Thursday, September 11, 2025, indicated that GETFund has officially written to the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, to begin procurement processes for the projects. Two abandoned classroom blocks at the school will also be re-awarded for completion by the end of the month.

The MP further disclosed that discussions are ongoing with the Ministry of Education to convert the school into a boarding institution from the next academic year. He added that other critical projects for the school and constituency are under negotiation.
