GNAT supports seven Colleges of Education

Seven science-bias Colleges of Education have received one hundred and fifty-four thousand cedis from the Ghana National Association of Teachers GNAT, to procure training equipment.

Each of the seven institutions received twenty-two thousand cedis.

The beneficiary institutions are the St. John Bosco College of Education in Navrongo in the Upper East Region; Presbyterian College of Education,Kyebi,in the Eastern Region; the Bagabaga College of Education, in the Northern Region and the Wesley College of Education, Kumasi.

The rest are St. Francis College of Education, Hohoe, in Volta Region, Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education,in Wa, Upper West Region, and the OLA College of Education, in the Central Region.

General Secretary of GNAT, Thomas Tanko Musah, said the presentation is part of the Association’s mandate to improve the conditions of service of members.

The President of GNAT, Philippa Larsen, said without the necessary equipment, it will be difficult for the institutions to offer the best of training intended.

The Principal of the St. Francis College of Education, Raphael Kwashie, thanked GNAT for the gesture, because some colleges are struggling to get the requisite equipment for the training of students.
