The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, says the government is investing in the Education Sector to accommodate more students as a result of the increasing demand for Tertiary Education, due to the Free SHS. This, according to him, will reposition the sector to churn out employable and empowered youth, who will strengthen the country’s workforce to enhance socio-economic transformation.

Speaking at the 11th Congregation of KNUTSFORD University College in Accra, Dr. Osei Adutwum urged Management of the University to develop programmes that are in tune with modern trends to equip students with relevant skills to excel in the job market.

Made up of 53 males and 31 females, the students beamed with smiles and celebrated the completion of their four-year academic work elegantly.

Established in 2007 the University contributes to the sector by offering degree programmes to qualified students to transform and inspire them for community service.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, gave assurance of the government’s continuous support for private Universities. “This is because they augment efforts in delivering tertiary education”.

Mr. Adutwum urged the students to effect change wherever they found themselves.
