Government’s Free Wi-Fi for tertiary institutions begin today

Government’s Free Wi-Fi for tertiary institutions officially taken off today with some thirteen government tertiary institutions commencing the pilot phase of the project.

The initiative by the government is aimed at enhancing the scope through the use of ICT to improve teaching and learning.

Vice President Bawumia who outdoored the flagship program in Accra said this initiative is part of a broader programme to bridge the technology gap in the country and also improve learning through the use of the internet.

The Vice President said gradually all tertiary institutions across the country will be roped into the program adding that government is poised to build a first class modernized economy by leveraging on technology.
