Health Minister assures parents of safety of wards in SHS

The Minister of Health Kwaku Agyemang Manu, has assured Parents and guardians of students in Senior High Schools that their wards are well catered for and protected.

According to him, the Ministry of Health together with the Education Ministry and the Ghana Education Service, have put in measures to ensure the safety of the students as they prepare to write their  final examinations.

Mr. Agyemang Manu, gave the assurance when he addressed the media as part of a two day visit to inspect ongoing health facilities in the Ashanti Region.

He described the call for the closure of the schools and suspension of the WASSCE as unfortunate.

The Minister urged parents to continue to have faith in the President,  as well as put in measures to ensure the safety of their wards.

He noted that Ghana as a Country has not given up the fight against COVID -19 and will continue to strengthen its efforts in this regard.

The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboakye, appealed to the public to stop spreading fear and panic about the virus.

He said the virus is preventable if the safety protocols are observed.
