The Non formal Education division of the Ministry of Education will soon develop an ICT tool for effective teaching and learning for adult education learners as a means to maintain and increase enrollment in some deprived communities in the country.
The acting director of field operations at the ministry, George Bentil said even though enrollment in adult education has seen some improvement over the years, the pandemic has negatively affected teaching hence the need to develop the tool.
He said adult education in deprived communities have also helped indigenes in their daily trade activities and there is therefore the need to encourage it.
He was speaking at the launch of the International literacy day held in Tomefa in the Ga South Municipality in Greater Accra.
