The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (KMA), Mr. Sam Pyne has pledged the commitment of the Assembly to complete educational projects under construction as well as those that might have been abandoned.

He was addressing a durbar at Fankyenebra in the Nhyiaeso sub-metro to inaugurate two ultra-modern classroom block facilities for the Fankyenebra and Daban-Apraman M/A Basic Schools.

What’s that thing you thought you will outgrow, but it decided to grow with you?

At the Fankyenebra community in the Nhyiaeso sub-metro, the Kumasi Mayor, Mr. Sam Pyne cut the tape to inaugurate a six-unit classroom block with an office for the Fankyenebra MA Basic School. The project, which had been abandoned for almost 10 years, was completed at a cost of almost ¢400,000.

Mr. Pyne also inaugurated a two-classroom kindergarten with a kitchen facility for the Daban-Apraman Basic School also in the Nhyiaeso sub-metro. At a durbar preceding the inauguration of the two projects at Fankyenebra, the Baworohemaa, Nana Juaben Afrakoma in a remark, commended the KMA for the completion of the projects, saying it will ease congestion which adversely affects effective teaching and learning.

The Kumasi Metro Director of Education, Mr. David Oppong urged authorities at both schools to ensure that the facilities are periodically maintained.
