The Principal of the College of Languages at the Ajumako campus of the University of Education, Winneba, Prof. Avea Nsoh, has described as chaotic the state of education of Ghanaian languages in schools.
According to him, it is a disgrace that Ghana cannot boast of a legal framework for its language in education programme since independence.
Opening a three-day conference of the National Association of Teachers of Ghanaian Languages at Ajumako in the Central region Prof. Avea Nsoh, described as a failure the country’s inability to make the study of Ghanaian languages a core subject even at the Senior High School (SHS) level and the Colleges of Education.
