More desks for Basic School Pupils in New Juaben North

The Member of Parliament, MP for New Juaben North, Nana Adjei Boateng through the support from GETFUND has donated more than 200 dual desks and teachers’ tables and chairs to the New Juaben North Municipal Education Directorate for onward distribution to some selected basic schools in the Municipality.

The beneficiary schools are Akwadum Islamic, Asokore Salvation Army, Oyoko Methodist, and Asokore Kuma Methodist basic schools.

Mr. Adjei Boateng said the donation of the dual desks is “part of the government’s effort at providing infrastructure to all basic schools in the country”.

He urged the teachers to cultivate the habit of maintenance to prolong the lifespan of the desks.

The MCE for New Juaben North, Comfort Asante commended the MP for the gesture adding that 80% of all development projects in the Municipality are his.

The Municipal Education Director, Beverly Dansoa Bartels who received the items on behalf of the schools said this will go a long way to help solve some of the challenges of the Directorate. He promised to ensure that all the desks are used for their intended purpose.
