Rector of the Wa Polytechnic, Prof. Emmanuel Owusu Marfo, is said to have been locked out of his office again despite a court ruling asking that he takes back his position as Rector.

According to sources, Prof Owusu Marfo’s office was under lock and key when he arrived at the premises.

He has been in the news in the last few months after he was suspended early this year (2018), by the Polytechnic Governing Council following several corruption allegations and financial malfeasance leveled against him by some staff of the Institution.

The allegations against him included several breaches of public financial management and procurement laws, verbal and physical abuse of staff, massive procurement fraud and financial irregularities and willfully causing financial loss to the Polytechnic.

But on Tuesday (August 28), a Wa High Court Judge, Justice Kwasi Boakye, overturned the suspension and asked the Polytechnic to use laid down procedures to suspend the Professor.

A seemingly angry Prof Owusu Marfo said he will boycott a scheduled Council meeting until his office is opened.
