Parents crowd schools as first year Senior High Students reopen

First Year SHS have begun reporting to their schools to begin Senior High Secondary Education.

The GES which had slated March 10, as the reporting date rescheduled it from Thursday, March 18, today to Sunday, March 21, to allow Parents and Schools to adequately prepare for the fresh students.

Strict adherence to COVID- 19 protocols was strictly enforced despite the long queues that greeted the first day of registration.

Meanwhile, Senior High Schools in Tema have begun receiving fresh students for the New Academic year.

GBC’s team of correspondents report that scores of parents and students are earnestly reporting at the various Senior High Schools with their required prospectus.

At the Tema Senior High School, most first-year students who showed up had their luggage and beddings inspected by the various House Masters to ensure they had the required items.

Although some students came from far distances, they managed to report on time. Some parents who spoke to GBC News expressed satisfaction with the registration processes.

According to them, despite the hardship associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, they are excited their wards gained admission to their preferred schools.

Some new entrants also told GBC News, they were happy to gain admission.
