The Kadjebi District Chief Executive, Maxwell Kofi Asiedu has advised students to observe the COVID-19 safety protocols, especially, the wearing of face masks since the virus is still around.

He said the masks serve as a shield against person-to-person infection of the virus, especially through coughing and sneezing.

Mr. Asiedu was addressing students of Kadjebi E.P Central Junior High School in the Oti Region as schools re-opened for academic work.

He urged the students to practice social distancing, wash their hands regularly and thoroughly with soap under running water as well as avoid stigmatisation to help curb the spread of the disease.

The Headmistress of E.P Central JHS, Madam Gifty Obeng, charged parents to support the school authorities to motivate students to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols, because the battle against the pandemic can only be won through concerted effort.

Mr. Asiedu and his team also visited Dzindziso D/A Primary and JHS, Dzindziso E.P Primary and JHS, Menuso E.P Primary and JHS, Kadjebi R.C Primary and JHS.
