Stakeholders in Education dialogue ahead of reopening of Schools

The Ghana Health Service, Ministry of Education and other stakeholders have begun sensitization programmes towards the reopening of all schools across the country.

The campaign is to help Ghanaians adjust to the reopening of schools announced by President, Akufo-Addo in his 21st update on measures taken against the spread of the coronavirus disease, President Akufo-Addo stated that the sensitization campaign which will be embarked on by all stakeholders will help educate the people on all the formalities associated with the reopening of schools.

Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye announced that from today disinfection will start in all schools across the country prior to their reopening. This will be done in partnership with Zoomlion. He said all SHS will be mapped with health facilities adding that upgrading of infirmaries has also begun in earnest.

She said the company has procured new disinfection vehicles and other materials for the exercise.
