Students from Agona Swedru and its environs pursuing programmes at the University of Cape Coast College of Distance Education (CoDE) will soon be relieved as their multi-million Study Centre at Nyakrom is completed.

The project consisting of many facilities to enhance conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning, is yet to be handed over to the University to start using to bring students from two centres at Swedru to one satellite campus.

The provost of the College of Distance Education (CoDE), Prof Isaac Galyuon, who made this known to a GBC’s correspondent in an interview in Cape Coast, expressed the hope of receiving the keys from the contractor who executed the project by this month.

He said a little upward adjustment is expected to be seen in the 2018/2019 Academic year.

According to him, the CoDE has sent more than 200,000 modules to all the 86 Study Centres across the country for onward distribution to the students whose academic year begins from Saturday October 6 this year.

Prof Galyuon congratulated the fresh students admitted this year and urged them to use their time profitably by studying hard to exit from the campus with flying colours so that their resources spent on their education does not go down the drain.
