UDS introduces new courses in Ethics to support national fight against corruption

University for Development Studies.

The University for Development Studies, UDS, has launched courses in Ethics to guide conduct at the work place and minimize malfeasance in the country.

 

The courses are under the auspices of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research, of the UDS.

 

 

The university in this regard organised a dialogue session on the topic: corruption where Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure noted that, ethics is the scarce commodity in the country at present.

 

He emphasised that the fight against corruption will remain just a rhetoric without ethics.

 

Mr. Azure commended the UDS for introducing the subject into the school curricular and urged the youth to support the fight against corruption.

 

The Programmes Manager for the Ghana Integrity Initiative GII, Mrs. Mary Addah, took participants through the cost of corruption and its impact on national development.

 

A private legal practitioner, Samson Lardi Ayenini, called for the setting up of the Whistle Blower’s Fund to support persons who expose corrupt practices.
