The National Association of Graduate Teachers, NAGRAT in the Upper West Region, has condemned recent attacks on teachers in the country, following another threat on a Headmaster at Wa Senior High School by a retired army officer.
The Regional Chairman of the Association, Pious Laari Azuma said it is about time parents recognized the role teachers play in making their wards responsible citizens in the society.
He recalled how a head teacher was killed in the Eastern Region last month and the recent destruction of property and attack on teachers of the Tumu Senior High Technical School also in the Upper West Region.
Mr. Azumah was addressing a news conference at Wa in the Upper West Region.
