The entrenched position taken by government and teacher unions on the KNUST impasses has been described as unhealthy.
This, is according to the Executive Director of the Institute for Education Studies, Peter Anti.
His comments came as the government-UTAG impasse over the constitution of the new governing council for KNUST intensifies.
Government wants the unions to replace their representatives on the dissolved council but the teacher unions disagree.
Speaking on GBC’s ‘Behind the News’, Mr. Anti said the way both sides have taken entrenched positions does not augur well for the progress of the University.
He suggested that an independent body be constituted to look into the whole KNUST issue again to find an amicable solution to it.
