Egypt confirms two more coronavirus deaths

Egypt has confirmed that two patients with coronavirus have died. The two, a 78-year-old Italian woman and a 70-year-old Egyptian man died in an isolation hospital.

The death toll from the virus in the country now stands at six. The news comes as 30 more people have been diagnosed with Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 196.

In a statement, spokesman for the Health Ministry, Khaled Mujahid said the new cases are all Egyptians who have been in contact with people who have tested positive for the virus.

He said since the outbreak began, 26 patients in Egypt have recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the isolation hospitals.
