Clément Turpin has been appointed to referee Ghana’s Round of 32 match against Colombia at Kansas City Stadium on Saturday, July 4.

The French official will bring plenty of major-tournament experience to a game that matters hugely for both sides, with Ghana chasing a first Round of 16 place since 2010 and Colombia aiming to extend their strong run.

Turpin will be assisted by Nicolas Danos and Cyril Gringore, while Jérôme Brisard leads the VAR team with support from Willy Delajod and Benoit Millot.

His selection also adds interest because he previously handled England’s group-stage win over Croatia and has officiated at both the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
