The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has admonished final year students of Senior High Schools, to justify the investment government has made in them by passing the WASSCE with flying colors.

He noted that free quality education is the right of every Ghanaian child. This notwithstanding, it behoves the student to pass their Examinations in order to progress in life. Mr. Osei-Mensah was speaking at the inauguration of an 18-unit classroom block at the Kumasi Senior High Technical School in Kumasi.

The Regional Minister said Government, as part of efforts to improve education, has undertaken 175 infrastructural development projects in Senior High Schools across the country with four of these projects located at the Kumasi Senior High Technical School.

The Regional Minister said he has taken note that the institution had some challenges and therefore tasked the school administration to submit a formal request to the Regional Coordinating Council for it to be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for redress.
