Former President John Agyekum Kufuor will on Tuesday, May 28, launch the 70th anniversary of the Ghana Journalists Association, (GJA) at the Kempinsky hotel in Accra.
The GJA will also use the occasion to honor former President Kufuor for his tremendous contributions to the association and his efforts at promoting press freedom in Ghana.
The launch which is on the theme: Democracy, freedom and independence of the media in Ghana; 70 years of GJA, will be chaired by the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO), of McDan Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel Mckorley.
A statement issued and signed by the General Secretary of the Association, Kofi Yeboah expressed appreciation to the management and staff of Kempinsky Gold Coast for sponsoring the event.
The statement further said the ceremony will be telecast live on GTV, TV3 and Atinka TV.
