The Oracle Christian Theological Seminary and Clergy Council (OCTSCC) USA/Ghana Chapter in collaboration with International Accreditation Commission for Education, (USA) have conferred honorary doctorate degrees in humanities on four personalities at Wa in the Upper West Region.
The recipients are the President of Upper West Regional Queen mothers Association, Hala Kuoro Hajaratu Limann, a Senior Technical Officer of the Lands Commission in Sunyani, Pual Abudu, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, Allen Pogtaah Nyuuro and a former Upper West Regional Director of Education, Cletus Soyere Paaga.
Citations accompanying the degrees [certificates] catalogued the contributions of the recipients in their various fields of endeavor that necessitated the awards but a common strand that ran through them was their service to humanity and society.
The President of OCTSCC World Wide and Founder of the Global Prophetic Empire Ministries, Bishop Dr. Vincent Adu, the Administrator of the Oracle Christian Theological Seminary, Lady Rev. Suzana Adu, as well as two guests from USA, Bishop Dr. Samuel Williams and Bishop Dr. Rose Williams and others performed the ceremony to robe those who were honored.
The occasioned also doubled as a graduation ceremony for 12 people who pursued Diploma in Theology at the Oracle Christian Theological Seminary.
Bishop Dr. Vincent Adu advised the 12 graduates to be good ambassadors of the Seminary by living above board.
The Course Prefect, Isaac Mission Naweh was very thankful for the knowledge gained.
He said: “Today we are all here gathered in one purpose, to accept the rewards of our period of study and labor. I pray to God that we will cherish this day for the rest of our lives.”
The GBC spoke to Mrs. Hajaratu Limann and Paul Abudu about the recognition given them.
Mrs. Hajaratu Limann stated that though she was surprised initially, the award is an indication that whatever you do, people are actually watching and it will serve as a lesson to my other queenmothers that whatever you are doing, do it well”.
“Because right now, I cant really say those who were able to single me out among all to be given this award. She the honor has given people more opportunity to know much about me and what I am doing as President of Queenmothers in the Region [Upper West].
Mrs. Hajaratu Limann who is also a member of the Upper West Regional Peace Council advised her fellow queenmothers that whatever they are doing, they should do it very well and with happiness…Do it whole heartedly, one day there could be a reward,” she observed.
From the perspective of Paul Abudu, the award will further inspire him to do more for his community and church.
