Gaming Commission to sanction non-compliance game operators

The Gaming Commission of Ghana is taking steps to fight illegal gaming operations to protect children from unnecessary exposure to gambling.

The move seeks to ensure that the gaming industry is safe, particularly for children.

Speaking to GBC News after a stakeholder’s engagement and unveiling of a new logo for the Commission, the Gaming Commissioner, Peter Mireku said they are resolved to modernise and sanitise operations.

To this end, the commission will be implementing a number of initiatives and programs that are geared towards improving the gaming industry and creating an enabling environment for legitimate business to grow.
