The Ghana Education Service (GES) has begun Computerised Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS),  process for candidates who passed their Basic Education Certificate Examination, (BECE), into Senior High School (SHS).

“Placement into Senior High Schools  has begun by the GES and all arrangements are being made to ensure that this years placement is successfully done.” That’s according to GES statement.

This follows the release of the 2019, BECE results by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) on August 29, 2019.

WAEC said about 173 candidates had their results cancelled for alleged examination malpractices, with over 2,000 others having their results withheld by the Council pending further investigations into allegations of malpractices.

The GES statement signed and issued by its Public Relations Officer, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, said: “The Director General of the Ghana Education Service will on September 6, 2019, hold a press conference to inform the public of the steps being taken so far as placement is concerned this year.”
