The Ashanti Regional PRO of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mark Ofori, says the service is poised to nib in the bud any activity that will bring the Service into disrepute following recent allegations of sexual misconduct by some teachers.
Mr. Ofori in an interview with GBC’s Ibrahim Kwarteng on ‘Behind the News’, said GES will deal decisively with teachers found to have engaged in such abominable acts.
He however, denied the assertion that Ashanti Region is a breeding ground for sexual molestation.
National Chairman of the Council of PTA`s, Alexander Yaw Danso, says it’s unfortunate that teachers who should know better engage in these dastardly acts.
Mr. Danso hoped the GES will sack teachers involved in these bad behaviour when found guilty and their certificates confiscated.
