The Ghana Highway Authority has announced the temporary closure of the road from Sokode to Bame near Ho in the volta Region until further notice.
This has become necessary due to the weak nature of the bridge, over River Tsawoe between Akrofu Agorve and Akrofu Xeviwofe along the Sokode-Bame Road.
A statement issued by the GHA, signed by its Acting Chief Executive, Nicholas Dome Brown, said “Motorist travelling between Sokode and Bame are encouraged to use the following alternative routes: Anyirwase-Bame Road and Ho-Klefe-Akrofu Road”.
He counts on total cooperation as Ghana Highway Authority takes the necessary steps to remedy the situation.
Mr. Dome Brown regrets the inconveniences the closure might have caused travelers who ply that route.
