Ghana has observed 2020 World No Tobacco Day in Accra via video conferencing with a seminar hosted by the Food and Drugs Authority, in collaboration with the National Union of Ghana Students, NUGS.

The message of the day is on the need to strategically protect the youth from industry manipulation and prevent them from Tobacco and Nicotine use.

Experts have concluded that tobacco use is responsible for 25 percent of all cancer deaths globally.

Use of nicotine and tobacco products also increases the risk of cancer, cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.
