The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has served notice of going on strike next month, if government fails to implement its Conditions of Service immediately.

General Secretary of the GMA, Dr. Justice Yankson in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, said although the implementation date for the Conditions of Service document was January 1, as agreed by all parties, government has failed to meet the deadline.

The Association has accordingly given government up to Saturday, February 29, 2020 to ensure full implementation, including payment of arrears of the Conditions of Service.

Dr Yankson said if government fails to fulfill its part of the agreement, there will be immediate withdrawal of services by its members in all facilities.
