The Commission also donated some items to the home. The cleanup was undertaken by beneficiaries of Mandela Fund from Ghana and other African countries on a diplomatic visit to the country.

The Deputy South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Thapelo Madumane said the humanitarian step taken was to impact the community of what the late icon was passionate about.
