The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) on Monday, November 10, 2025 officially launched its electronic gazette (e-Gazette) system, a digital platform aimed at making the process of gazette application faster, more efficient, and accessible to all Ghanaians.
The Managing Director of GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey, speaking at the launch of the e-gazette system, said the initiative reaffirms the company’s commitment to serving the people of Ghana.
He emphasized that the new system operates on a 24-hour service model, allowing users to conveniently apply for gazettes online without the need for in-person visits wherever they are.
“Our commitment is to serve the people of Ghana. We run a 24-hour service, and now it takes just three weeks to get a gazette since applications can be made online,” Mr. Boatey said.
He stated that, while the e-Gazette system was initially introduced in December last year, it faced some challenges that limited its effectiveness. The launch, he said, addresses those issues and ensures smoother operation and better user experience.
“The idea of the e-Gazette was launched in December, but it wasn’t fully functional, so we had to launch it to meet the standards of efficiency and accessibility we envisioned,” he said .
Highlighting the benefits of the system, Mr. Boatey assured the public that using the e-Gazette comes at no additional cost to taxpayers “ the e-Gazette application causes the taxpayer zero charges,” he said.
