Ghana ratifies framework acknowledging science as quickest approach to end hunger, poverty by 2025

Ghana has formally committed to the Science Agenda for Agriculture in line with the 2014 Malabo Declaration.

African governments are expected to ratify a framework acknowledging that the application of science is the quickest approach towards ending hunger and tackling poverty by 2025.

The Ministers of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Frimpong Boateng signed the agreement, with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, FARA being the implementing agency.
