Ghana is this year hosting more than five thousand dignitaries and personalities from various religious backgrounds across the world for the ECK African Soul Adventure Seminar.
The seminar, which is slated from August 25 to 27, 2023, is one of the biggest international events organised by the Eckankar Society to educate people about the essence of spirituality in making the world a corrupt-free and morally upright place for all to live in.
The non-denominational event is being held in Ghana for the first time, and according to the President of the Eckankar Society in Ghana, Aspect Caiquo, the country stands to gain a lot in terms of tourism and religious integration as the event holds.
Mr. Caiquo said the event had come at an opportune time when humanity is shirking the reality of spirituality and it’s significance in life, all in the name of modernity and digitalization.
He said the theme for the event, which is; “Your Life Is A Spiritual Adventure”; explains the need for people who attend to seek God and understand His spiritual purpose for every human life. Mr. Caiquo said the event, which happens in August this year, is a whole month of celebration and enlightenment for participants.
The seminar has its benefit for national tourism and security as the country hosts more than 5,000 people from across the world.
For this reason, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Arts set up a 9-member committee made up of security agencies, Ghana Tourism Authority, and transport unions, among others, to see to the welfare, success and safety of participants at the event.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Arts, Mark Okraku Mante, who was the Guest of Honour, assured the Eckankar Church of his ministry’s commitment to ensure that the committee does its work perfectly for the success of the programme.
Also present at the launch was the Spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Arimeyaw Shaibu to lend the support and blessing of the Muslim community to such an event which, in his opinion, is useful to the spiritual growth, especially of the youth.
The ECK Seminar will feature talks and lectures by world-renowned Spiritual Scholars and International leaders of the Eckankar society across Africa and the globe at large.
