Ghanaian trio to compete in World Bodybuilding Championship

Ghana’s contingent for the 73rd edition of the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB), World Bodybuilding Championship has left the Kotoka International Airport for United Arab Emirates.

The West African side would be represented by three athletes namely: Godwin Frimpong, Derrick Marley and Peudam Abubakar; with President Abdul Hayye Yartey and George Foster Baffoe as treasure; completing the 5-member contingent for the competition.

Nicknamed Black Muscles, the national bodybuilding team is aiming for a splendid outing which will grab them a Pro Card when the three day event gets underway at the Zayed Sports Complex which runs from 8th – 10th November, 2019 in Fujairah.

Emirate of Fujairah (United Arab Emirate) was chosen to host the competition during the 2018 IFBB Congress- a key point for Bodybuilding at the Gulf region with the experience in the organisation of IFBB Diamond Cup.
