Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a Ghanaian singer and entrepreneur who  is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual has completed Day 1 of the marathon which is 24 hours. During these times, she was seen rocking African prints and it seems she will be breaking the record with her Africanity still intact.

Afua Asantewaa on Sunday 24th December,2023, 00:00 began an attempt to break the longest singing marathon, which is recognised by the Guinness World Records. The rule of the marathon is to take a break for every 20 minutes after four hours and a song cannot be repeated until after four hours.

During these breaks, Asantewaa mostly comes back adorned in new clothes that are beautifully sewn with African fabric. So far, she has changed four times and still has four more days to go. Asantewaa’s mission to sell Ghana music does not only reflect in her choice of songs but also her dressing as well.

There are a lot more to be done but celebrities like Nana Ama McBrown, Clemento Suarez, Sista Afia, Kobby Kyei, Yemi Baba, Abianna amongst others have shown their massive support for her Guinness World Record.
