Pupils and students of the Ghana International School (GIS) have celebrated this year’s United Nations Day with special performances, in honour of the Former Secretary-General of the UN, late Kofi Annan.
The management of the school noted that the formal U.N Security, Mr. Annan is the House Personality for one of the GIS Houses.
The House mascot of an eagle is indicative of how high he expected us to soar and as we remember him today, the House Attribute of International Mindedness will no doubt continue to inspire us.
According to them, the school honours Mr. Kofi Annan, with their heads, held high and with hearts filled with gratitude for being one of the most influential men to have made a difference in the world and he will forever be celebrated and remembered.
