Last week, government announced its intention to promote Bamboo as a cash crop. Bamboo is a specie of wood product that grows well in the wild in all parts of the country.
It is referred to as ” Green Gold” but yet to be given the needed attention.
Bamboo Technologist, Ben Lartey says if the pronouncement to make bamboo a cash crop is adhered to, it will create huge job opportunities for Ghanaians.
He said the sector must however, be supported with a budget and the One District One Factory must start with Bamboo.
