Gov’t committed to revamping technical and vocational education- Minister

The Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, COTVET, has launched the Skills and Gap Analysis and Audit Report of Seven Sectors in the country, with a call on tertiary institutions, to make good use of the report, as it will go a long way to improve their work.

The sectors include agriculture, tourism and Hospitality, Strategic Manufacturing, construction, energy, Oil and Gas,  and technology.

Deputy Minister-in-charge-of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET, Gifty Twum Ampofo, who launched the report, reiterated government’s decision to revamp technical and vocational education in the country.

She urged the private sector to partner  technical institutions, to see how best to create job opportunities.
