Harry Maguire has graciously accepted the apology from Ghanaian MP Isaac Adongo, who publicly expressed regret for mocking him last year.
Adongo had previously compared Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic management to Maguire’s performance on the pitch for Manchester United during a budget debate.
While Adongo apologized to Maguire earlier this week, acknowledging the footballer as a ‘transformational player,’ he continued to criticize the Vice-President. Adongo remarked, “As for our Maguire, referring to Bawumia is now at the IMF (International Monetary Fund) with a cup in hand.”
In an unexpected turn, Maguire publicly accepted Adongo’s apology and even extended an invitation for the MP to visit Manchester United’s home ground.
Maguire replied to a video of the initial apology on social media, stating, “MP Isaac Adongo apology accepted. See you at Old Trafford soon.
