A 10-year-old girl has died after undergoing Female Genital Mutilation.,FGM)in Sierra Leone.
The girl was cut during an initiation at a secret women’s society in northern Sierra Leone.
A woman in charge of initiations has been arrested and investigations are underway.
The case has sparked renewed calls for the practice to be banned in the West African country.
Sierra Leone is one of only a handful of African countries which have not outlawed FGM.
