The Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has presented assorted medical supplies to management of the Ho Teaching Hospital to complement efforts to boost healthcare delivery in the region.

He also presented some medical supplies to the Volta Regional Health Directorate for onward distribution to health facilities in the Ketu North and South Municipalities, Central and South Tongu and South Dayi districts of the Volta Region.

The medical supplies worth thousands of Ghana Cedis include surgical gowns, bone needles, anesthesia tubing, oxygen masks, neonatal ECG electrodes, and pathology cassettes.

The items were part of what remained from a wide range of medical supplies procured by Mr. Ablakwa through the benevolence of a foreign organisation in aid of health facilities in his Constituency.

Mr. Okudzeto- Ablakwa was hopeful that the donation will go a long way to ”boost health care delivery at the Ho Teaching Hospital”.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ho Teaching Hospital, Dr John Tampouri was grateful for the gesture and gave the assurance that ”management will put the medical supplies to good use”.
