Alcohol intake is a dysfunctional way of solving problems; can lead to Suicide- Clinical Psychologist

Medical Doctor and Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Isaac Newman Arthur has said that the intake of excessive alcohol can cause depression which often led to suicide.

According to him, most people take alcohol to cope with life situations. This causes chronic disease and damage to the body, leading to depression.

“Alcohol intake is a dysfunctional way of solving problems “, he added.

Dr. Isaac Newman Arthur spoke on the GTV Breakfast Show.

He explained that the overall intake of alcohol is negative. It rather creates more problems like changes to the cells, liver damage, cancer and other chronic diseases.

“It’s like adding poison to water, because you think water is good for the body”, he noted.

Dr. Newman Arthur advised the public completely against the intake of alcohol.
