The National Co-ordinator of Non-Communicable Diseases, Ghana, Labram Musah has asked government to support patients in the management of diabetes because of its heavy toll on sufferers due to the cost of treatment.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana as the World marked Diabetes Day,  Mr. Musah said living with diabetes is really difficult and government’s support to patients could ameliorate their pain.

Mr. Musah asked government to train more health professionals to care for patients living with the disease.
