Coronavirus: Ketu South Municipality records 5 new cases

The Ketu South Municipality has recorded five new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Municipality to 11.

The Municipality has the highest number of positive cases in the Volta Region with Hohoe and Ho Municipalities following with two cases each and South Tongu, recording a case, totaling 16 in the Volta Region.

In a Statement, the Municipal Chief Executive Elliot Edem Agbenorwu, said the new cases were as a result of contact tracing of the earlier six persons who tested positive to the virus.These individuals are in isolation.

The Statement urged all residents to remain calm and not spread panic in the Municipality.

The MCE asked all to observe the social distancing protocols and other measures instituted by the President and the Municipal Assembly.

The Assembly has also directed the mandatory wearing of face masks effective Monday May 4 and has procured one thousand pieces of face masks to be distributed to the vulnerable.
