COVID-19: Contact tracing begins at KBTH after two medical staff test positive

The Chief Executive Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Dr. Daniel Asare says contact tracing for two staff who tested positive for the Corona Virus is ongoing.

He said the doctor and nurse who tested positive for the virus and are in isolation are responding to treatment.

Dr. Asare told GBC’s Radio Ghana, all staff and family members who came into contact with the two are being tested for the virus.

Dr. Asare said the hospital is putting measures in place to reduce the level of anxiety among the medical staff.

He said staff with the underlying health conditions have been given flexible working hours while others have been granted temporary leave to keep them safe.
