Health experts are projecting that COVID-19 could leave in its trail more and serious health complications than have already been confirmed and publicly made known.
Speaking to GBC NEWS, the Ashanti Regional Director of Health, Dr. Emmanuel Tenkorang disclosed that, apart from erectile dysfunction, recovered patients could also suffer possible complications such as lung, kidney and brain infirmities.
He has therefore entreated Ghanaians to voluntarily comply strictly with all the COVID-19 safety protocols to protect themselves and their immediate contacts from contracting the virus.
Dr. Tenkorang was speaking to Correspondent Nicholas Osei-Wusu about the current state of the pandemic in the Ashanti region.
Touching on the planned vaccination against COVID-19, Dr. Tenkorang said even though every orthodox medication has side effects, the benefits of the vaccine will be far more helpful to the people in preventing infections.
He, therefore, advised the public to avail themselves when the COVID-19 vaccine is acquired and the national exercise eventually begins.
