German NGO to constructed an ultra-modern physiotherapy center at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital

An ultra-modern physiotherapy centre estimated at 200 thousand euros, is to be constructed at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
The project, to be completed by December next year, is being funded by a German NGO, Ghana Community Niederbayern and the Methodist Church Ghana. The Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Ben Clement Botchwey, said this at a ground-breaking ceremony at Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region.
People from Ashanti, and the three Regions of the north will also benefit from the services of the centre when it is completed. The NGO has already supported the hospital to build patients relatives’ centres and urological department.
The Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive, Dr Prince Kwakye Afriyie, described physiotherapy as one of the major services in health facilities and asked the hospital to ensure that the funds are used for the intended purpose.
The Wenchi Methodist Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Samuel Fred Ansu, advised the public to contribute in both cash and kind towards its success. The President of Ghana Community Niederbayern, KWAME Abrefa Busia, promised to continue supporting the hospital with its basic needs to give it a facelift.
