Government has undertaken a comprehensive review of the raft of measures put in place to help win the fight against the Covid-19.
The review is premised on the declining infections, the relative success of the vaccination campaign and the increased capacity developed in the public and private health sectors over the last two years.
President Akufo-Addo announced this in a Televised address to the Nation on Coronavirus pandemic.

”As at Friday, 25th March this year, the total number of active cases stood at seventy-two.There are no severely or critically ill persons. The Covid-19 treatment centres are empty, and the 4th wave appears to be over.”

He said the government has  not achieved the national vaccination coverage target, but reasonable vaccination coverages have been achieved in the hotspots of infections, particularly in the urban areas of Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi.

He explained that the Government is determined to use all means to increase the deployment of vaccination across the country to achieve our target of vaccinating some twenty million Ghanaians by June.

He urged all who are yet to receive a jab to  take it.
